Music

at Bagzy, we think Top 5 artists is the best/easiest way to describe your taste. Obviously check my Bagzy for a full up-to-date snapshot, but as of this writing, I choose

• The 1975: someone said something about Pop music in your formative years that I agree with. I do think they make the best pop music of anyone else in this era though. And then to me they basically represent my closest friends.
• Ye / Kanye: I heard a really talented musician say recently, “who has made 6 good albums”, and the group of other talented musicians agreed it was only Kanye and the Beatles. I believe everything he says.
• Bob Dylan: I took a class just on his songs my senior year of High School and the older I get the more I like him and the more amazing songs I find. The Timmy movie is great, but the Scorcese doc is even better. One of the best things I have ever watched. So inspiring. And he was Steve’s favorite which is cool.
• Dijon: Absolutely is my favorite thing anyone has made recently. Many Times is just perfect and I unfortunately relate, but also Scratching, Noah’s, Mikes, all of it. And Baby is amazing, and his concert was one of my favorite nights ever even though Blake and I waited multiple cold Brooklyn hours after the show and he didn’t come out. I also feel cool looking him. I work in music and don’t have the best taste so it’s great that I actually like his music.
• Oasis: The fifth spot could go a few ways but something about the 2 of them and the songs they made just makes me feel so optimistic and good. And like a celebration of Pop music, which I do like. Live Forever is definitely my favorite.
